BELDING — Lois J. Corbett, 84, of Belding, passed away on Saturday morning, Sept. 3, 2016, at her home under the loving care of her family and Great Lakes Caring Hospice.

Lois was born on April 28, 1932, in Reed City, the daughter of Frank and Angeline (Kinney) Johnson. She moved to Belding her senior year of high school to live with her sister, Opal, graduating from Belding High School in 1950. She was married to Rolland “Rollie” Corbett on June 16, 1951, in Belding, and he preceded her in death on March 21, 2016. Lois loved to read and enjoyed the outdoors and animals, especially horses. She also loved to walk and even in recent years would walk up to three miles a day meeting and talking to her friends, neighbors and anyone she would meet along the way. Lois will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

Lois is survived by her children, Cindy (Pat) Templeton, of Canadian Lakes, Terri Vanderlip, of Belding, and Jill Corbett (Gary Ruple) of Ft. Myers, Fla.; grandchildren,Tony, Marc, Becky, Stephanie, Craig, Jennifer, Corbett, Meghan, Makala, Zachary and Bridget; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and one brother, Frank (Ann) Johnson, of Reed City.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Velma Greene, Opal Johnson and Freda Delosh; and two brothers; Carl Johnson and Royal Toman.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016, at the Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home in Belding with the Rev. Paul Hulford of First Congregational Church officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Rest Haven Memory Gardens in Belding. The family met with friends for a visitation period on Tuesday evening. Memorial contributions may be made to Great Lakes Caring Hospice.
