BURTON – Letha Ella Oyster, 92, of Burton, died on Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at her home.

Mrs. Oyster was born on Sept. 25, 1919, in Flint, to William and Lorena (Buckingham) Bilky. She was a 1936 graduate of Flint Northern High School. Letha married Lester Oyster on May 2, 1953, in Sears. He preceded her in death on June 12, 1995.

She worked for 20 years as a comptroller for LeMire Electrical Construction Company. She had spent her life between Flint and Sears. Mrs. Oyster loved being with her family and her family loved being with her. She enjoyed reading and bingo.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Bertolami, of Statesville, N.C., and Judy Maygar, of Burton; four grandchildren, Lisa Bertolami, Brett Bertolami, John (Toni) Maygar and Tony (Kristi) Maygar; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lester; and two sisters, Betty Sweet and Jo Howicz.

Funeral services for Letha Ella Oyster will be at 1:30 p.m. pm Tuesday, Sept. 11 at the Corey Funeral Home in Evart, with the Rev. Jim Sweet and his wife, Jean, officiating. Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 10 at the funeral home. Internment will be in the Orient Township Cemetery in Sears.
