Larry Wayne DePew

CHASE — Larry Wayne DePew, 63, of Chase, passed away on Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.

Larry was born on June 13, 1953, in Reed City, the son of Dewayne Forrest and Doris Amelia (Blanchard) DePew. Larry graduated from Reed City High School in 1971. Following his graduation, Larry was united in marriage to Ms. Pamela Dawn Bowen on June 26, 1971, in Reed City. Mr. DePew had resided in Chase his entire lifetime. Larry worked at Stock Building Supply for 29 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. His greatest passion was spending time with his family making memories.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mrs. Pamela Dawn DePew, of Chase; two children, Adam Wayne DePew and wife Elizabeth, of Chase, and Amanda Dawn DePew and husband James Case, of Chase; four grandchildren, Ellen Hope DePew, Scott James Case, Samantha Dawn DePew and Staci Jo Case, all of Chase; one brother, Dennis DePew and wife Gladys, of Chase; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. DePew was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services honoring Mr. DePew will be at noon on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, at Chase Barton United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Everett Bowen officiating. A time of gathering and sharing of stories will take place from 11 a.m. until time of services. Immediately following services, family and friends are encouraged to join in the fellowship of a luncheon at Chase Township Hall.
