Larry Vernon Curnett
Larry Vernon Curnett passed away Friday, September 14, 2012 at Spectrum Health in Reed City. He was 73.
Mr. Curnett was born September 29, 1938, in Detroit to Miles Vernon Curnett and Ernestine Geneva (Jeffers) Curnett. He married Dorothy Justice on July 10, 1965 in Detroit and she preceded him in death June 25, 2011.
He was born and raised in Detroit and moved to Marion in 1969, then moved to Evart in 1971. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and had worked 30 years at Bennett Sawmill. Larry loved the outdoors and enjoyed watching country & western movies, and playing poker and cribbage.
Four daughters, Michelle (Kevin) Ricker of North Dakota, Barbara (Gary) Thompson of Marion, Deanna (Jeff) Miscikoski of Evart, Donna (Tom) Fish of Evart, two step-sons, Michael (Wanda) Barlow of Indiana, Steve (Kathy) Barlow of Clinton, MI, 14 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one sister, Geneva (Butch) Jarczynski of Evart, and 2 half sisters, Patti Curnett of Detroit, and Peggy North of Arizona, survive him.
His parents, wife Dorothy, two brothers, Michael and Bill, and three sisters, Ruth Ann Bostwick, Phyllis Booth, and Donna Robinson, preceded him in death.
Funeral services for Larry Vernon Curnett were September18 at the Corey Funeral Home in Evart.
Internment was in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Evart.
