Kenneth B. Snyder

EVART — Kenneth B. Snyder, 62, of Evart, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at his home in Evart Township.

Kenneth was born on April 1, 1952, in Midland, to Kenneth Beachum Snyder and Vera May (Wilkinson) Snyder. He married Lois I. Vanderhoef in Evart on March 25, 1995. Kenneth was an Evart area resident for the last 35 years. He worked at Tubelite in Reed City and was affiliated with the Jehovah Witness Church. Kenneth loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, camping and gardening, and also enjoyed cars and traveling.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Lois Snyder, of Evart; three daughters, Jeannie Snyder, of Weidman, Colleen (Brian) Green, of Remus, and Crystal Zimmerman of Brian, Ohio; three sons, Kenneth (Todd Liptsey) Snyder, of Grand Rapids, Scott (Cheryl) Zimmerman, of Reed City, and Drew Vanderhoef of Evart; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four sisters, Sandra Wilson, of Hampton, S.C., Colleen (Alan) Snyder, of White Cloud, Kathleen (Vern) Parcels, of Farwell, and Terri (John) Lasby, of Grayling; and one brother, Stanley Earl (Patricia) Snyder, of St. Charles, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant grandson, Blake; two brothers, Robert and Richard Weaver; brother-in-law, Joseph Wilson; sister-in-law, Charlotte Laycock; and two nephews, Daniel Gates and Jared Snyder.

Funeral services for Kenneth B. Snyder are at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at the Corey Funeral Home in Evart, with speaker Doug Miles officiating. Visitation is from 11 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Internment will be in North Park Cemetery, Newkirk Township in Lake County.
