EVART — James (Jim) Eugene Kujawa, 77, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, at his home on Negaunee Lake. He was born in Detroit on Aug. 25, 1934, to John and Alice Kujawa.

Jim loved his wife and family with all his heart. He fell in love with Ethel at a boy’s and girl’s club dance when he was twelve years old and never stopped loving her. He was generous and would help anyone in their time of need, no questions asked.

Jim had an incredible work ethic and was an excellent provider for his family. He dedicated 40 years of his life to Michcon, working as a Corrosion Specialist, as well as completing a two-year term in the United States Army. He was an active member of the Moose, Evart and enjoyed golfing, playing the lottery, dancing and listening to his records.

Twenty-three days after the love of his life passed, God knew he couldn’t bare life on this earth without her, and reunited them for eternity.

Jim is survived by his five children Cindy Gribenas of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; Rick Cross of Boynton Beach, Fla.; Anita Gordon of Muskegon; Christopher Kujawa of Taylor; and Lorianne Porcelain of Decatur, Ala., 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and his sister-in-law Florence Kujawa.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4 at Corey’s Funeral Home in Evart, with a luncheon immediately following at the Moose, Evart. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to: Baptist Park School: 12501 Telegraph Rd. Taylor, MI 48180 in memory of James Kujawa.
