Forrest Mac Tyler, 92, of Clare, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012.

He was born the son of Murray J. and Mary Edna (McCormick) Tyler on July 15, 1920 in Evart.

He was united in marriage to Mary Brinkerhoff on July 2, 1951.  He worked as a Met Life Insurance Agent.  Mac, as he was known by everyone, served his country honorably in World War II.

He loved his family and enjoyed his grandchildren very much. Mac had a smile that could light up family gatherings or friendly get-togethers. He was a people-person.

He could have conversation with you, if you knew him well or knew him not at all. Mac will be missed but he will be remembered with love and many, many memories.

Mac is survived by his wife Mary; his children John (Barb) Tyler of Clare and Kimberly Schwager of St. Clair Shores; a sister Virginia Holihan of Evart;  grandchildren. Brice Murphy, Zachary and Macy Tyler, great grandchildren, Alyssa and Brice Jr., and  great great grandchild, Jackson.  Mac was predeceased by two sisters, Velma and Vivian and a brother Gordon.

A memorial service was held on Friday, December 7 at the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Bromley officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Love Light Tree in Clare.
