Eula A. VanSyckle

BARRYTON – Eula A. VanSyckle, 83, was granted her angel wings and entered into eternal peace on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at her home in Barryton.

She was born on Aug. 14, 1930, in Evart, to the late James and Florence (Hines) Truxton.

Eula graduated from Evart High School and was employed by Evart Products for 30 years. She was a member of the Barryton United Methodist Church, where she attended regularly until her health no longer allowed her to do so. Eula was a member of the Barryton Rebekah Lodge No. 77 until it disbanded. She had a loving and generous heart and brought so much joy to her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Jesse R. VanSyckle, in 2001; her parents, James and Florence Truxton; two brothers, Norm (Irene) Truxton and Harold (Alice) Truxton; and daughter-in-law, Vanessa VanSyckle, in June of this year.

Eula will be lovingly remembered by her devoted sons, Jesse R. VanSyckle II and Alan E. VanSyckle; adoring grandchildren, Alicia Derek, Jeremy VanSyckle and Jason (Kristina) VanSyckle; great-grandchildren, Alex VanWestrienen, Hunter VanSyckle, Carter VanSyckle and Jayden VanSyckle; a sister, Lois (Jerry) VanAmber; her loving companion, Cocoa; and special friends, Chris and Brian Kelly.

Friends and relatives are invited to join the family for a celebration of Eula’s life at 1 p.m., on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at the Barryton Senior Center, where she volunteered when able. Pastor Ed Milam will be officiating. Eula will be laid to rest at Flake Cemetery in Barryton in the spring.

Cremation has taken place through the care of Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton.
