Elizabeth Yarhouse, of Evart, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Lakeview Lutheran Manor in Cadillac. She was 82.
Mrs. Yarhouse was born in Sherman Township, Osceola County, Michigan September 18, 1930, to Jacob and Grace Mae (Hollenbeck) Bell.
She was married May 7, 1953, in Marion to Charles C. Yarhouse who preceded her in death June 6, 2001.
Mrs. Yarhouse was a lifelong Evart area resident who attended the Rose Lake Free Methodist Church and the First Baptist Church in Evart. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and playing the piano, especially for the Highlandaires Quartet.
She loved Chelsea, her little black poodle, who brought her much joy.
She is survived by two daughters, Sue Yarhouse, of Evart, Judy Bailey, of Marion; grandson Barry Fall, of Cadillac; five granddaughters, Cindy Sue (Max) Lint, of Cascade, Jackie Davis, of Farwell, Stephanie (Ken) Brown, of Clare, Jennifer (Josh) Seibt, of Clare, Suzie (Ben) Russel,l of Louisiana; 13 great grandchildren; and three brothers, Lloyd (Debbie) Bell, of Burt, Eugene Bell, of Athens, MI, and Ben Bell of North Carolina.
Her parents, husband Charles C. Yarhouse, sister Grace Gilde, and a brother James Bell preceded her in death.
Funeral services for Elizabeth Yarhouse were Saturday, December 22, at the Corey Funeral Home in Evart with Pastor John Proctor III officiating. Internment will be in the Maple Valley Cemetery, Hatwick Township., Osceola County.
