Elinor Elizabeth (Owens) Chilcote, 82, of Reed City, passed away with her family at her side on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at her residence.

She was born on May 18, 1930, in Hersey, to Louis Arthur Owens and Mabel Courtney Charbonneau. She lived and raised her family in Reed City, where she met and married Robert Edwin Chilcote. She was employed with the Reed City Bank as a bank teller for 40 years. She was active in the Reed City area garden and genealogy clubs and loved painting, gardening, sewing and spending time at the family cottage. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters, Roberta Richardson, Rebecca Hoyle and Barbara (Ralph) Westerburg; grandchildren, Aaron (Jen), Heather (Jim), Stacy (Brandon), Rachael (Josh) and Amy (Jason); great-grandchildren, Eric, Trevor, Allen, Aiden, Jaxon, Ethan, Shelby and Tessa; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at the Pruitt-Livingston Funeral Home in Reed City, with the Rev. Richard Osborne officiating. Burial will be at Crapo Cemetery in Green Township. A memorial contribution may be made in her name to Hospice of Michigan during visitation with the family from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2013, at the funeral home.
