REED CITY — Edward Charles Beers, 58, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011, at his residence. He was born Nov. 1, 1952, in Reed City, to Charlie and Helen (Palmer) Beers.

Ed was a 1972 graduate of Evart High School. He was employed briefly at Evart Products. He ran Beers’ Sewer Cleaning as a side job for many years. He was a caregiver at Hyden AFC home. He was also employed at Hopkins AFC home for last 25 years.

On Nov. 14, 2008, he was married in Reed City to Brenda Miller. He was loved by all. He had a passion for fishing. He loved woodworking, coin collecting, and watching wildlife. He was a huge Beatles fan. He enjoyed gatherings with family and friends.

He is survived by his loving and caring wife Brenda; children, Charlie (Sarah) Beers of Big Rapids, Janie (Thomas) Duban of St. Petersburg, Fla.; step-children, Ashley Siebecker, Rachael Fuller of Evart, James Siebecker of Bay City, and Timothy Frost Jr. of Bay City, Josh (Dana) Frost of Bay City. Brothers, barry (Luana) Beers of Sears, Bob Beers of Evart, and Jerry Beers of Barryton.; and sisters, Betty (Norm) Hoffmeyer, Susan Hubbard, and Goldie Myers all of Evart. Brother-in-laws, Kevin (Brook) Miller and Vincent Miller of Evart, four grandchildren, one great grand child, four step grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Larry Beers, father-in-law Thomas Miller, and dog Sheba.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, October 23 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Evart, with Father Joe Fix officiating.
