HERSEY — Dorothy E. Morlock, 88, of Hersey, went to be with her Lord, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015.

Dorothy was born on Dec. 9, 1926, in Hersey, to William A. and Blanche (Wickett) Leinweber. She was a lifelong Hersey area resident who graduated from Hersey High School in 1944. Dorothy married Milton Morlock in Paris on June 1, 1944, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 16, 1993. She worked as an inspector for 13 years at Evart Products. Dorothy was an active member of the Hersey United Methodist Church. She loved painting, cooking, crocheting and gardening. She will be truly missed by all who knew her and was known by many as Grandma Dot.

Dorothy is survived by a son, Samuel (Betty) Morlock, of Lowell; daughter, Susan (Lance) Morlock, of Hersey; six grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marjorie Thirey, of Reed City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Milton; daughter, Linda Langworthy; grandson, Steven Morlock; an infant son; and a brother, Chester Leinweber.

Funeral services for Dorothy E. Morlock will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 31, 2015, at the Corey Funeral Home in Evart, with Pastor Lemm Granada officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Hersey Village Cemetery.
