MARION — Dorothy Pritchard, 92, entered into Heaven on the afternoon of Saturday, March 5, 2016. We are all comforted in knowing she is with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Dorothy was born Jan. 3, 1924, in Clare County. She moved to the Middle Branch area as a young girl and spent most of her adult life in the Evart area. The last few years of her life, Dorothy spent at Pleasant Ridge AFC in Marion. Dorothy spent her life doing what she always wanted to do — loving and caring for her family. She loved cooking and trying new recipes, as well as spending time in her garden. She enjoyed attending various sporting events and activities of her children and grandchildren, as well as working outside of her home in her later years, retiring at age 72.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Dewayne Pritchard; daughter (still born), Joyce Ann Pritchard; son, Nolan Pritchard; great-granddaughter, Kelsey Ann Thomas; as well as her parents; and seven siblings.

She is survived by her four children, Judy (John) Bennett, of Evart; Joan (Steve) Thomas, of Freeland; Neil (Kay) Pritchard, of Evart; and Brent (Terry) Pritchard, of Evart. Dorothy was blessed with nine grandchildren, Paula (Bruce) DuVall, of Wayland, Kraig Bennett, of Evart, Grant (Brenda) Thomas, of Saginaw, Nicole Bennett, of Mount Pleasant, Kristen Jones (Patrick Turner), of Ft. Worth, Texas, Kariann VanBurgel, of Stanton, Lance (Christie) Pritchard, of Miamisburg, Ohio, Brian (Emily) Pritchard, of Ludington, and Ethan Pritchard, of Evart; great-grandchildren, Jordan DuVall, Kennedi Thomas, Esperanza Lopez-Negrette, Brantley Pritchard, Breslin Pritchard and Madison Turner also brought Dorothy many smiles and much joy.

The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at Corey Funeral Home, 415 N. Main St. in Evart.
