EVART — Delores A. Brackett, 83, of Evart, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, at Curry House near Cadillac.

Delores was born on July 31, 1932, in Evart, to Clyde E. and Aileen (Dwight) Line. She graduated from Evart High School in 1949. Delores married Joe Brackett in Evart on Aug. 12, 1950, and enjoyed 65 years of marriage until Joe’s death on Jan. 16, 2016. She worked in the women’s department at Dancers and worked at Adeline’s Dress Shop. Delores loved her flower beds and enjoyed painting and bird watching.

Delores is survived by her daughter, Joleen (Kenneth) Kraft, of Sears; three grandchildren, Devin (Holly) Simon, of Seattle, Wash., Ashley Kraft, of Sears, and Alicia (Eric) Hasse, of Pinconning; one great-grandchild, Luke Simon, of Seattle, Wash.; two sisters, Lila Ryan, of Sault Ste. Marie, and Jean Graber, of Farwell; and two brothers, Buck (Edith) Line, of Sault Ste. Marie, and Jerry Line, of Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe; two daughters, Valerie and Dianne; a sister, Neva; and two brothers, Dwight and William.

Funeral services for Delores A. Brackett will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, at the Corey Funeral Home in Evart, with Pastor Rob Rounds officiating. Visitation is from 11 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Delores will be interred in Forest Hill Cemetery along with her husband in the spring.
