REED CITY\u00a0\u2014\u00a0Darrell James Hervey, 64, of Reed City, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2014, at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. He was born on Sept. 14, 1949, in Trenton, to the late James and Violet (Lyell) Hervey. Darrell is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Connie, of Reed City; five children, Ken Hervey, of Bitely, Lisa (Kevin) Willis, of Alpena, Brian (Corinna) Hervey, of Copemish, Bethany (Chad) Leiter, of Boon, Laura (Nick) Vernon, of Brighton (currently residing in Nagoya, Japan); nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three siblings, Frank (Zahira) Hervey, Norman (Sylvia) Hervey, and Eileen Francis; the dog he adored, Roscoe; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends that will continue to hold the memories they have close to their hearts. Friends are invited to a memorial to celebrate Darrell\u2019s life at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at his home, 6365 175th, in Reed City (Hersey). In true Darrell fashion, dress casual. In lieu of flowers, an outdoor plant would be preferred for the memory garden where Darrell\u2019s cremains will be laid to rest or a donation in his memory can be made to the Disabled American Veterans, 402 N.
