Community Mental Health for Central Michigan appoints new director

CENTRAL MICHIGAN — Community Mental Health for Central Michigan has appointed a new director, effective June 25.
During its monthly meeting in May, the board appointed Bryan Krogman to the position of executive director.

Krogman has served as deputy director for administration for the past seven years and has been with the agency for over 28 years. He has a master’s degree in business administration from Central Michigan University.

“We are confident that Bryan will continue to lead the agency forward and that the transition will be smooth as John Obermesik retires on June 25 after 30 years with the agency,” board chairperson Susan Svetcos said.

Obermesik announced his retirement earlier this year.

CMHCM serves a six-county area including Clare, Isabella, Gladwin, Mecosta, Midland and Osceola, promoting inclusion and quality integrated services to individuals with mental illness, developmental disability and/or substance abuse disorder.
