Carol L. Sherman

SEARS — Carol L. Sherman, 81, of Sears, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at her home in Sylvan Township.

Carol was born on Feb. 9, 1932, in Sylvan Township, to Oscar S. and Ila J. (McCord) Struble. She was a 1950 graduate of Evart High School. Carol was married to Eugene Sherman on June 10, 1950, in Evart. She was a lifelong Sears area resident and was an active member of Brooks Corners United Methodist Church, where she led the youth group, taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Her life was her family, her kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Carol is survived by her husband, Eugene Sherman, of Sears; two daughters, Sherry (Eric) Rosser, of Evart, Linda (Daniel) Booher, of Reed City; two sons, Rick (Cheryl) Sherman, of Sears, Gregg Sherman, of Evart; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a sister, Illene Gaffney, of Evart; three brothers, Gerald Struble, of Farwell, Stan Struble, of Coleman, and Dean Struble, of Sears.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Nona Bailey; and granddaughter, Angela Rosser.

Funeral services for Carol L. Sherman were at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at the Corey Funeral Home in Evart with Pastor Joe Beavan officiating. Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at the funeral home. Internment was at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Evart.
