August Lindquist

UBLY — August Lindquist, 79, of Ubly, passed away on Thursday, April 26.

Lindquist was born on Dec. 22,1932 in LeRoy, son of the late Oscar Leander and Nannie (Lindell) Lindquist. He married Fayleen Williams on Feb. 5,1955. She preceded him in death on April 24, 2004.

Lindquist was an Austin Township dairy farmer and a member of the Farm Bureau. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a great story teller and an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his son, Dan (Connie) Lindquist, of Ubly; daughters, Connie McCoy, of Minden City, Kelli (Robert) Dregor, of Ubly and Tracey (Anthony) Foster, of Ubly; brother, Leland (Esther) Lindquist, of LeRoy; sisters, Eleanor Spicuzza, of Wyoming and Mary Ann Beilfuss, of Reed City; sister-in-law, Marian Lindquist, of LeRoy; grandchildren, Jamie McCoy, Jodi (Jimmy) Vogel, Jessica McCoy and her fiance Matthew Jacobs, Jenna McCoy, Jacki McCoy, Kyle Lindquist, Nicholas Lindquist, Jacob Books, Kaitlynn Foster, Rebekka Foster and Ethan Foster; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by seven brothers, John, who was killed during World War II, Frederick, Lester, Donald, Lewis, Robert and Elmer Lindquist; sister, Lucille Lindquist; sisters-in-law, Doris Lindquist and Margaret Lindquist and brothers-in-law, Frank Spicuzza and Wayne Beilfuss.

Services were held Saturday, April 28 at the LeRoy Township Cemetery with military honors.
