Aaron W. Rueffer

EVART — Aaron W. Rueffer, 34, of Evart, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016.

Aaron was born on Jan. 30, 1981, in Cadillac, to Douglas A. and Nancy L. (Wyatt) Rueffer. He was a 2000 graduate of Evart High School and attended Lake Superior State University. Aaron was a proud U.S. Army veteran of the war in Iraq. He worked as a welder and handyman. He was a lifelong Evart area resident. Aaron enjoyed baseball, basketball, football, bowling and hunting.

He is survived by his daughter, Peyton Rueffer, of Evart; his father, Douglas A. Rueffer, of Evart; five brothers, Ted Rueffer, of Traverse City, Shane Rueffer, of Albion, Doug (Dawn) Rueffer, of Hersey, Matt (Jamie) Rueffer, of Rockford, and Josh (Arry) Rueffer, of Grand Blanc; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy.

Funeral services for Aaron W. Rueffer are at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, at the Corey Funeral Home in Evart, with Pastor Paul Weissenborn officiating. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, at the funeral home. Aaron will be laid to rest next to his mother in Osceola Township Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Aaron’s name at First Merit Bank in Evart to help the family offset funeral expenses.
