SEARS - The newest idea from the planner's minds at Morgan's Composting, Inc. will provide families a local way to enjoy the fall season and everything that comes with it. The first Morgan's Fall Festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, at the business, located at 4353 U.S. 10. Workers at the business came up with the idea as a way to give back to the communities that help them be successful year after year. "We don't have a lot locally for people to do," said employee Danielle McKinstry. "We thought, why not? We wanted to make sure it was free so everybody could come." Activities will include hay rides and short tours of the facility, a free home cooked meal, the chance for families to pick their own pumpkin, press fresh apple cider, have a photograph taken with a giant scarecrow and more. She said the festival will provide a fun outing for children and an educational experience for parents as they learn about everything Morgan's Composting produces. "It's time for the harvest," said company owner Brad Morgan. "This is going to be our business, too. This year, we're putting everything out there." Employees want the event to become an annual celebration that brings local business and family together. "We're all really pumped about the festival and already throwing out new ideas for next year," McKinstry added. "We want to add more each year and make it bigger and better. Morgan looks forward to the day as it approaches and hopes for the best. "I want families come out an enjoy themselves," he said. "Hopefully, we'll have a good day."
