Spaugh has lived in the Evart\/Chippewa Lake area her entire life. Farmers Market opens The Evart Farmers Market is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturdays through Oct. 9, at the Evart Depot, 200 S. Main St., Evart. Farmers, artisans, bakers, and other vendors offer a variety of goods for sale. The Market also includes informational booths and activities for kids. Volunteers needed Evart Main Street is looking for volunteers to be part of the promotions committee. The committee positions Main Street as the center of the community and hub of economic activity, while creating a positive image that showcases the community's unique characteristics. The city is seeking a resident who is and archeologist, architect, architectural historian, historian, or historic architect to serve on the Historic District Commission. Commission members are unpaid volunteers. This is not a high time commitment but is an integral part of the city's ongoing historic preservation efforts.
