Woman airlifted to hospital after Friday morning crash

OSCEOLA COUNTY  — One woman was transported via Aeromed after receiving severe injuries in a one-vehicle accident Friday in Osceola County.

Osceola County Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched around 9:50 a.m. to the personal injury accident on M-66 south of 22 Mile Road.

Osceola County EMS, along with Marion and McBain fire and rescue units, were called to the scene to assess the driver's injuries. Rescue personnel determined her injuries required immediate care and Aeromed was contacted, according to the sheriff's office.

The woman was flown to a local hospital, which authorities could not disclose. Her condition is unknown.

The accident and its cause are still under investigation.
