RODE HARD AND PUT AWAY WET:Snowmobilers met at Wayne and Marilyn Sengelaub’s pond on 2 Mile Road in Reed City Sunday, March 25 to enjoy one last thrill on their sleds before putting them away for the season. Drivers sped across the fields and over the water, maintaining a high speed to hydroplane on the pond. Those who didn’t gain enough speed before gliding over the water sunk their machines and began the time-consuming process of draining the water out of the engine before zooming across the water again. Some sunk as many as three times. (Pioneer photos/ Sarah Neubecker)
