Wexford Osceola Habitat for Humanity receives donation
$10,000 donation will help fund ongoing projects
CADILLAC -- On a beautiful day in October, Wexford Osceola Habitat for Humanity was asked to meet members of the Cadillac Rotary Club across from the City Park in Cadillac at the Rotary Pavilion for a presentation.
At that time, Wexford Osceola Habitat for Humanity (WOHFH) was presented a generous gift of $10,000 from the Rotary Club of Cadillac Foundation to celebrate Cadillac Rotary Clubs 100th birthday.
WOHFH is excited to be able to serve families in our community with the funds received. They could not do what they do without the many partners they have in the community, including Rotary.
If anything has been learned from the COVID-19 crisis, it is that the ability to thrive during a shelter-in-place mandate is directly tied to the safety and stability of housing. Problems such as leaky roofs, mold, insufficient insulation, and high rent payments threaten the health, safety, and financial security of families and cause further concern beyond the risk of contracting COVID-19.
WOHFH strives to help with safe and affordable housing and this generous gift will help to continue that mission.
Wexford Osceola Habitat for Humanity extends its deepest gratitude to The Rotary Club of Cadillac Foundation for this gift.
The funds will be used to continue WOHFH's mission of providing safe and affordable housing for residents in of Wexford and Osceola counties.
