Vickery graduates from basic military training

By Joint Hometown News Service SAN ANTONIO — U.S. Air Force Airman Matthew D. Vickery recently graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Vickery completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Vickery earned distinction as an honor graduate.

He is the son of David L. Vickery, of Tustin, and Candice J. Vickery, of Cadillac.

The airman is a 2011 graduate of Cadillac High School.
