OSCEOLA COUNTY -- Temperatures are warming, kicking off the summer road construction season.
On Monday, the Michigan Department of Transportation will begin resurfacing two stretches of U.S. 10 -- one east of Reed City and the other west of Evart.
Drivers should expect lane closures and traffic shifts as vehicles will share a single lane.
The $1.3 million project, estimated to run until mid-August, "will provide a smoother ride and extend the service life of the roadway," according to a news release.
• Stretch 1: Begins just east of US-131 in Reed City to 200th Avenue; closures will be between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.
• Stretch 2: Begins one mile west of 110th Avenue to 95th Avenue west of Evart; closures will be between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.
