Two more former Reed City supermarket employees arrested for stealing from store

REED CITY — Two women have been charged for their part in stealing lottery tickets and other items from the Reed City grocery store where they were employed.

Shelley Stinson, 39, of Reed City, and Corina Johnson, 45, of Chase, are each charged with two counts of larceny in a building. Their co-defendant, Cheryl Wolverton, 36, of Hersey, was arraigned Aug. 24 in Osceola County’s 77th District Court on the same charges.

The trio is accused of stealing lottery tickets, bottle return money and cigarettes from Vic’s Supermarket in Reed City, where they previously worked.

Stinson, Johnson and Wolverton are all believed to have been involved in the scam, which was investigated by the Reed City Police Department.

All three women have preliminary examinations set for 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 14, in Osceola County’s 77th District Court. Bond for each woman was set at $30,000.
