REED CITY -- Trinity Lutheran Church and School will host its fourth annual family movie night from 6 to 9 p.m., Friday, Dec. 6.

The free event will include a double feature of The Grinch, the original cartoon movie beginning at 6:30 p.m. followed by the 2018 feature length animated movie.

The event also will include a Whoville photo booth and Grinch make-and-take crafts. There will be a drawing for gift prizes including Grinch-themed baskets, a gas gift card valued at $100 and tickets to the We Care For Kids auction.

Everyone is encouraged to dress up as a Who from Whoville, the Grinch, or Max, or simply come in pajamas for a cozy night at the movies.

"This is our fourth annual Christmas movie night event," Senior Director Lori Pruitt said. "Last year we showed the Polar Express and had more than 150 people attend."

The event is open to the public.

In lieu of admission fees, attendees are asked to bring a donation for the Salvation Army Angel Tree program, which supports families in need across Osceola, Mecosta, Lake and Newaygo counties.

TLCS is currently collecting donations for the Angel Tree program in support of 150 families across the area. To learn more about what items are in need and where to donate visit trinitylutheran-rc.org.

In other news, TLSC delivered 1,418 items to the Reed City Food Pantry from the recent food drive. The goal was 1000 items, with girls competing against boys to see who cold collect the most. In a very close race, the girls one by 36 items.
