Trinity Lutheran School welcomes public to open house
REED CITY — Parents in the Reed City area looking for an alternative to public school education for their children have the opportunity to learn more about what a Christian-focused education can offer.
An open house at Trinity Lutheran School will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, and present the opportunity for parents and children to meet school staff, see the classrooms, learn about Trinity's curriculum and discover the benefits of attending a private institution. Enrollment is open for 3-year-old preschool through eighth grade for the 2015-16 school year.
"Our purpose is to get the news out about Trinity Lutheran School and that we are open to accepting new students," said interim principal Connie Jonsson. "Public schools do an excellent job educating, but we offer something that they can't — a Christ-centered education."
Jonsson believes Trinity offers a family-oriented atmosphere and has the benefit of small class sizes for increased student-teacher interaction and learning.
Families who enroll their children at Trinity do not have to be a member of the church. The school also offers income-based financial assistance and other options for families who need help paying the annual tuition.
"We welcome everyone and hope people who are interested will come to the open house," Jonsson added. "It's a wonderful school and it's a very exciting time because our Light of the World campaign is kicking off."
The school is located at 19778 U.S. 10 just east of Reed City. For more information about the open house or Trinity itself, call (231) 832-5186 or visit trinitylutheran-rc.org.
