... moreREED CITY -- Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Reed City hosted its annual Harvestfest on Saturday, Oct. 19.
The fundraiser was a great success, serving more than 280 diners and raising $2,000, said senior director Lori Pruitt.
"Harvestfest is our largest fundraiser and requires a large number of volunteers to donate, make and serve the food," Pruitt said.
Trinity's Parent Teacher League (PTL) families helped prepare the meal and Trinity students in grades fifth through eighth worked as servers for the evening.
"The generosity of our volunteers overwhelms me every year," PTL head Bridgette Miniear said. "I can't say enough about the awesome job our waiters and waitresses did."
The money raised will go toward the school and the PTL, which organizes school-related activities throughout the year, Pruitt said.
