It's the holiday season so lights and festivities are a top priority for residents all over the state.

Each community throughout Michigan has its own holiday rituals and traditions, but sometimes travelling out of town can be more than worth it. Listed below are three holiday events around the state that will run through the month of December.

LMCU Ballpark

Located near Grand Rapids in the community of Comstock Park, the Lake Michigan Credit Union Ballpark is hosting its 2021 Christmas Lite Show. The show will be running every evening, including holidays, until Jan. 1. Visitors have the choice of taking their own vehicle through a drive thru light show or hop on the memory lane train.

Displays include a variety of family friendly topics such as elephants, baby dinosaurs and the American flag. Typically, it takes 30 minutes to see the show and the shows start 5:30 p.m. each day. A portion of the proceeds for the show is donated to the Grand Rapids Veterans Home.

Crossroads Village

Around the Flint area, Crossroads Village hosts its annual Christmas at Crossroads Holiday Magic. The show will run every weekend until the end of the month of December for walking through and will feature drive-thru only nights every Monday in December as well as Christmas Eve.

With over 30 years of history, the light show at Crossroads Village will mesmerize you. When done admiring the sights, stick around to see the village artisans fashion vintage crafts. The village is open from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday through Sunday.

Greenfield Village

The Dearborn attraction will have its own holiday festivities during the 2021 holiday season. Take a step back in time to experience Christmas as you've yet to experience it with. With more than 80 acres to work with, Greenfield Village has food, drinks, holiday goods and roasted chestnuts. Take a winter ride in a horse drawn carriage or Model T and witness the fireworks finale that ends each night.

The experience will run Dec. 9-12, 16-23 and 26-28. Tickets for the experience include access to the village as well as free carousel rides, free skating and skate rental and free rides in Model Ts and carriages.
