REED CITY – The Crossroads Theatre Guild will host an open house August 10 for community members to view their new facility.

The open house will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Aug. 10 and from 1 to 4 p.m. on Aug. 11. at the former First Congregational Church, located at 247 W. Upton Ave. in Reed City. Light refreshments will be served.

The group has been without a home base for more than 10 years, when they lost their last studio to the expansion of Yoplait in the late 1990s.

Their new building will serve as a theatre for the performing arts and a community center for various local activities. The first performance in the new facility is planned for November.
