Sweet Adelines host Christmas show

REED CITY — Members of the Crossroads Harmony Chorus of Sweet Adelines invites everyone to their 2014 Christmas Show.

Performances will take place at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Reed City, located on 4 Mile Road, just west of 220th Avenue.

This year’s show is “The Reasons For The Seasons.” It is filled with traditional songs such as “Home For The Holidays,” “Mary Did You Know,” and fun numbers like “We Need A Little Christmas,” and “Santa Baby.” In addition, two local Sweet Adeline quartets will be singing on the show. Audiences will be treated to special songs by “Rejoice” and “On Fire!” quartets.

Each program will feature “Axiom,” a very entertaining men’s barbershop quartet from Mount Pleasant who will bring their singing and sense of humor to the stage for all to enjoy. Crossroads Harmony Chorus has been serving audiences in our community for 10 years. Singers in the group hail from Marion, Evart, Sears, Reed City, Hersey, Paris, Big Rapids and Remus. The chorus is directed by Jim Whitten.

Both shows will offer audience members the opportunity to enter a 50/50 drawing. Door prizes win will also be given away at each performance.

Tickets are $10 in advance, available from Chorus members, and $12 at the door. Price for children 10 and under is $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Advance tickets can be ordered by calling (231) 592-5328.
