REED CITY — Every month during the school year, students gather at school for Family Fun Night, and Thursday's finale event provided fun for all.

Centered around a theme, each event provides a free dinner, games and crafts for the whole family. Thanks to the beautiful spring weather, many events were able to be held outdoors. After a picnic inspired dinner of hot dogs, chips and potato salad, families could take part in the many activities available.

Kindergarten teacher Tracy Kailing and her family brought several farm animals for the children to pet, including a donkey, calf, rabbit, goats and sheep, and the playground had a few new additions of inflatable bounce houses for kids to enjoy.

Students also jumped at the chance to dunk principal Deanna Goodman or assistant principal Rob Nista in the dunk tank, while others participated in watermelon contests throughout the night or made a variety of different crafts.
