Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital accepting scholarship applications

Applications due April 15

REED CITY — Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital is now taking applications for its annual scholarship awards.

Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors who are planning to enter the health sciences profession. Interested seniors must fill out an application at spectrumhealth.org/reedcity-scholarships.

To be eligible, students must attend Reed City High School, Baldwin High School, Pine River High School, Evart High School or the Mecosta-Osceola Career Center, must be pursuing a degree in health sciences, must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5, must submit written goals and aspirations and must include a resume of extra-curricular activities, work history and community service.

The deadline for receipt of applications is Friday, April 15. The scholarship will be awarded following the conclusion of the student’s first semester of college or university, provided a GPA of 2.5 was maintained.
