Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital accepting scholarship applications

Scholarships available for high school seniors pursuing career in health sciences

REED CITY — Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital is now taking applications for its annual scholarship awards.

Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors who are planning to enter the health sciences profession. Interested seniors must fill out an application at spectrumhealth.org/reedcity-scholarships and must meet the following criteria to be considered:

  • Applicant must be a student at one of the following area high schools:

Baldwin High School

Evart High School

Mecosta Osceola Career Center

Pine River High School

Reed City High School

  • Applicant must be pursuing a degree in health sciences
  • Applicant must have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA
  • Applicant must submit written goals and aspirations
  • Applicant must submit a list of extra-curricular activities, work history and community service.

The deadline for receipt of applications is April 18. Top candidates may be asked to attend a personal interview. The scholarship will be awarded following the conclusion of the student’s first semester of college or university, provided a GPA of 2.5 was maintained.
