Sheldon receives honor from MCRUD

REED CITY — Kaytlyn Sheldon is the 2011 recipient of the Media Shout Out Award presented to her by MCRUD, Michigan Coalition to Reduce Underage Drinking. Sheldon received this award for her 3 part series of alcohol related newspaper articles on Sexual Assault, Driving and Violence.

Sheldon is a 2010 graduate of Ferris State University with a minor in English Professional Writing and has been writing articles for the Osceola Edition of since 2008. Sheldon has been writing articles for MOCRUD, Mecosta Osceola Coalition to Reduce Underage Drinking, since 2008 as well and is supportive of the coalition saying it’s a “great organization.” She has published articles for MOCRUD on prescription drug abuse, National Night Out and Teen Talent Show.

Sheldon says “I learn a lot with every article I write, plus I really enjoy doing it.” She hopes to be of service as long as she is able. Congratulations to Kaytlyn Sheldon!
