REED CITY — Members of the Reed City Area Schools Board of Education will get their first look at prospective superintendent candidates later this week during a workshop.

The board is having a workshop to screen applications, select questions and prepare for interviews at 3 p.m. on Friday, June 23, at the Reed City Depot. Candidate applications for the district's top administrative position were due June 15.

Michigan Association of School Boards Search Consultant Rodney Green is helping the district through the search process.

Current RCAPS Superintendent Tim Webster announced his retirement on May 18. The board began the search process soon after, seeking public input through a survey, while also having input sessions with the district's staff and administrators.

Initial candidate interviews are set for 3 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, June 27, and final interviews are from 6 to 9 p.m., Thursday, June 29.  Both interview sessions will take place at The Depot.
