Restricted use pesticide exam and review planned
CADILLAC — An exam and review for the Restricted Use Pesticide License will be offered on Monday, March 10, at the Wexford County MSU Extension Office in Cadillac.
Anyone planning to purchase restricted use pesticides must be a certified applicator and pass this exam before they may purchase these types of herbicides, fungicides and insecticides in Michigan.
The exam will be conducted by the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development at 1 p.m.The review will be offered by Michigan State University Extension and will begin at 9:30 a.m. This review is worth re-certification credits for those desiring to re-new their license via credits.

The exam fee is $50 for private applicators, which includes farmers, and $75 for commercial applicators payable at the door. Only checks or money orders will be accepted. There is a $10 charge for the review and the fee is payable at the door.
Study manuals for the exam are available for purchase at County MSU Extension Offices or can be found online at pested.msu.edu/.
