REED CITY — Westerburg Park will be filled with goulish fun two weeks before Oct. 31 at Reed City’s Halloween in the Park.

From 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, children are invited to wear their Halloween costumes and visit their favorite characters at the park. The eighth annual event will include cartoon and storybook celebrities from SpongeBob to Snow White, ready to greet children along the park walkways and hand out Halloween goodies.

Many volunteers from throughout the community are providing time and resources to make this event a success.

Last year, more than 1,000 children from throughout the Reed City area and neighboring communities came together for the Halloween fun.

Children age 12 and younger will receive a bag for collecting treats along the way. Doughnuts and cider also will be available.

Halloween in the Park is provided to the community free of charge. Any donations for the event will be accepted and applied to next year’s event. For more information, or to donate, call Kathy Yost at (231) 590-5805.
