Reed City students go to leadership conference

Reed City High School sent 40 students to the Josten's Leadership Conference on Oct. 10 in East Lansing. There were more than 6,500 students from across the state who participated in this event. Dr. Phillip Campbell and Mike Smith, both nationally renowned speakers, gave keynote addresses. Their message was with regard to "finding your grind," focusing more on who you want to be rather than what you want to be. During break-out sessions, students had the opportunity to collaborate with their peers, reflect on difficult questions and develop a plan for moving forward. Feedback from both students and chaperones was very positive. The high school student council provided lunch for the group.(Courtesy photo)
