REED CITY — On Tuesday, Nov. 15, the city of Reed City began enforcing its winter parking ban prohibiting the parking of any vehicle on any street between 2:30 a.m. and 6 a.m.
According to City Manager Ron Howell, the winter parking ban is in accordance with Chapt. 126, Sec. 8.3 of the City Code. Chapter 131 Sec. 10.106 of the city code provides for a fine of $30 for each violation, plus impound towing fee if necessary.
“You have to draw the line some place,” Howell said. “Residents will need to adjust parking, because we will need to plow.”
