REED CITY — Reed City area restaurants will present their finest chili at the second annual Fall Festival and Chili Cook-off on Saturday.

The event will include music, hay rides, an appearance by Dynamite the Clown and kids games including scarecrow crafts at the Reed City Depot. Games will begin at 2 p.m. with the chili being judged at 4.

For a cost of $5 and a non-perishable food item per each adult and child, festival-goers can sample chili along with enjoy a dinner of hot dogs, donuts and hot cocoa. All proceeds will go to local food pantries.

Prizes will be awarded for the best chili. Following the chili cook-off, community members are invited to participate in a HexLinx tournament, which is a game similar to Dominoes or Scrabble. Participation is free, and winners will receive a free game.
