Reed City church plans Fall Funfest

REED CITY — Food, candy, games and more will all be part of this year’s Fall Funfest hosted by the Reed City Church of the Nazarene.

The Fall Funfest will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31 at the Reed City Church of the Nazarene, 5300 220th Avenue.

This year will be the 10th year for the annual community event, which is free and open to all children and their families. The church usually plans on an attendance of between 300 and 400 people.

“This gives kids a fun and safe environment where then can have more than just candy,” said Bernice Graham, RCCN office manager. “They get donuts, hot dogs, a chance to play games and have fun.”

Planned events include “Trunk or Treat," a bounce house, face painting, a climbing wall, carnival games, crafts and free food.

If the weather is nice, the event will have some animals, Graham said. Emergency vehicles also will be on display at the event.

In case of rain, all activities will be moved inside the church, Graham said.

“The event will happen rain or shine,” she said. “We have a backup plan.”
