OSCEOLA COUNTY — Beer and wine connoisseurs and those simply wishing to help out their community gathered at the Lincoln Township Hall Saturday evening for the annual Autumn Beer and Wine Fest.

Hosted by the Reed City General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC), the event raised funds for the organization to support various county projects.

Joan Williams, treasurer for the GFWC and chair of the beer and wine fest, said almost everything the group raises goes directly back into the community.

"The Autumn Beer and Wine Fest is our biggest fundraiser of the year," Williams said. "We try to fill a need wherever there is one in the community."

GFWC President Denise Allen said she was pleased with the evening's turnout.

"It's great to see the support from the community," she said.

In addition to having the opportunity to sample a variety of beer and wine, attendees of the evening were treated to a buffet dinner and could participate in a silent auction.
