RCHS announces top seniors
REED CITY — Seniors at Reed City High School are only a couple of weeks away from the pomp and circumstance of graduation day.
This year, commencements will take place at 7 p.m. on May 31.
School officials and class advisors have announced the names of three senior scholars who have earned top honors throughout their high school careers.
Angela Decator plans on attending Aquinas College in the fall for pre-med and hopes to become a surgeon.
She is a member of the National Honor Society.
Angela Decator enjoys volunteering, especially with her church youth group, and participating in Group Workcamp trips.
During her time at RCHS, Sami Michell has participated in both volleyball and track. She received All-conference honors in both sports and All-state in track. Michell was also an Academic All-state honoree in track. She is a member of the National Honor Society and has been on Student Council for two years. Throughout high school she maintained a 4.0 grade point average. After high school, Michell plans on studying accounting at the University of Michigan.
Nicholas Forgue says he has always tried to do his best in classes at RCHS, though some have been more challenging than others The effort seems to have paid off. During his time in high school he “ ...found one or two sports to do on the side” and also found them rewarding.
