Public invited to presentation to stop texting and driving

LEROY — Pine River High School will host Bonnie Raffaele, of Sault Ste Marie, at 9 a.m. on Oct. 22.

The public is invited to attend the presentation in which Raffaele will share her story and encourage students and community members not to text while driving.

After losing her daughter, Kelsey, in an automobile accident in January of 2010, Bonnie travels around Michigan speaking to high school students on making good decisions while driving a car. She encourages them to take the “Kids Driving Responsibly” challenge, to raise awareness of the dangers of distracted driving.
