Probationer found with methamphetamine components in Osceola County

EVART TWP.  — An Osceola County man was arrested after a special operation discovered items to make methamphetamine.

On Tuesday, detectives with the Traverse Narcotics Team, along with the Michigan Department Of Corrections Parole/Probation division and Osceola County Sheriff’s Office participated in Operation Nighthawk. The operation includes home visits for existing subjects on parole/probation.

Agents entered a home in Evart Township and located man who was on probation. A search of the home found components and chemicals used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. A special teams was called in to process the scene and collect evidence.

The man is being held on a probation violation at the Osceola County Jail. Additional methamphetamine charges are being sought.
