Pine River welcomes staff, faculty of the past to anniversary celebration
Attendees travel down memory lane
LEROY — The past and present came together on April 27 at Pine River High School as the district celebrated its 50th anniversary.
Former and current staff, faculty and board of education members reunited in commemoration of the district's consolidation. On April 26, 1965, the Luther, LeRoy and Tustin community school districts became known as Pine River Area Schools.
Guests received a warm welcome from current board members before being invited for an ice cream social hour. The event also included the chance to browse tables filled with memorabilia from the three districts and scrapbooks filled with information and photographs, all borrowed from local community museums.
Current PRAS Superintendent Matthew Lukshaitis said he was pleased with the turnout and happy to see everyone enjoying the event.
