LEROY — With the theme of Team USA, Pine River School District students and staff will continue to show their school spirit this week to celebrate the school’s homecoming.

Today students will dress up for their favorite decade for “Decade Day.” Tomorrow, students will dress for “Class Color Day” with each class wearing a different color. Friday will be “Green and White Day” to celebrate the school’s colors.

Students on the Homecoming Court are:

  • Ninth grade: Alyssa Witbeck and Tyler Wing
  • 10th grade: Cheyanna Rizor and Greg Park
  • 11th grade: Taylor Davenport and Jack Cafretsas
  • Queen nominees: Pilar Ganger, Jamie Justin, Zyporya Orange-Moored
  • King nominees: Lincoln Erickson, Ty Goodman, Maverick Martin
  • Prince: Nathan Marks (first grade LeRoy Elementary)
  • Princesses: Kaleigh and Madison Swiger (first grade LeRoy Elementary)

The parade will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday at LeRoy Elementary. All entries are asked to be lined up behind LeRoy Elementary by 3:50 p.m.. Float judging will take place by then.

The Homecoming football game will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday against the Marion Eagles. Crowning of the king and queen will be held during the half-time ceremony. Voting will take place in high school English classes beginning 7th hour on Thursday.

The Homecoming dance will be on Saturday at the High School from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. Cost is $7 for singles or $13 for couples.
